ANNA BOKSTRÖM: MAYBE THESE NICE NOICES WILL MAKE UP FOR ALL MY FUNNY WORDS. 2005, 6:00
Viewed through the grainy filter of old film stock, the camera gazes on two women as they intimately share a cigarette; panning back and forth between them, captivated by their image. A conversation, recorded in another place, is layered over the image of two women chatting about their experiences of being on heroin and the effects it had on their physique. The dialogue illustrates a surprisingly intimate and touching exchange through circumstance of these seeming strangers. With thanks to Sabrina, Weegee and Dionysus
