The voice over for Cook you, with its echoing and layered format, forms a somewhat surreal set of prose, making reference to domesticity, consumption and capitalism. The poetic musings make us think of our relation to gender in a domestic environment, but also how aspects of capitalism penetrate this world.
The mix of mental images the voice over evokes compliment the fragmented and ambiguous visual images presented in the video.
