Is it just a game III examines ideas of gender and violence within contemporary society. Kulkarni herself participates in a game of kabbadi, a traditional Indian game of attack and defence. She plays as a lone woman besieged by a group of men, taking on ideas of everyday gendered imbalances, sexual harassment and a pervasive sense of anxiety that are all prevalent for women today in Indian society.
